Coaching Philosophy
Give ‘n Go Premier Youth Soccer was established to provide professional quality instruction year-round to youth players to improve their play in both recreational and competitive soccer programs in a fun and educational environment. Typically, youth players are exposed to inexperienced and unqualified coaches as they begin their initial soccer experience. Unfortunately, all too often this coaching is technically flawed. Even though parent coaching is enthusiastic and well intentioned, it usually has its primary focus on winning. As a result, soccer fundamentals are rarely emphasized and worse yet, bad habits set in which often go unrecognized.
Premier Youth Soccer Academy attempts to address this issue by exposing young players to qualified professional coaches when they are most impressionable, at the beginning of their physical and mental development. By teaching sound fundamental ball skills in a fun yet focused environment, players will put in place a strong foundation to higher achievement in later years. They will grow in confidence as their skills improve.
Some elect to join a competitive soccer program when they reach a certain age, some will be happy to remain playing recreational soccer. Either way, they will be better prepared to be successful and get the most out of their soccer experience having attended the Academy, even if they only attend for a short time. Realistically, not everyone will progress to play competitive soccer, but everyone can develop a love and understanding for the game by maximizing his or her own potential and taking pride in that achievement.
This training can continue as they progress to play soccer in local recreational soccer programs, competitive club programs, school teams and/or professional teams. This is done through our Give n’ Go Premier Soccer Camps, Clinics and Premier Player Development programs. We have enjoyed coaching players of different age, interests and levels of development from as young as 5 years old to college players that have trained with us to prepare for trying out with professional teams. This training includes all areas of soccer training, including goalkeeping. Premier Youth Soccer training will focus on development of technique, tactics and teamwork; and will follow a graduated level of achievement. Graduation from level to level will be irrespective of age or duration in the program, but will concentrate mostly on the individual player’s skill development. Success in this program is not measured in winning but in the development of the player to apply these topics.
